Wildwood Snowmass

Located in Aspen-Snowmass, Wildwood is a reclaimed 1960s ski lodge designed for hip travelers needing a home base for their mountain adventures.

Reunion Goods & Services designed the property’s 150 guest rooms, suites, lobby, bar, pool and restaurant, and also designed a new identity for Wildwood including its wordmark, signage and all other collateral. Additionally, Reunion curated, commissioned and created original artwork for the project.

Reunion reimagined various architectural elements and invited artists to collaborate. A favorite among these interventions is a structural column transformed into a totem pole by Ryan Cox. The totem pole was fabricated in California by Reunion’s notable collaborators on this project, Scout Regalia.

Artist Wayne White paints words and imagery into vintage lithographs to create a new work. Because White’s practice embodied the spirit of Wildwood’s renovation, Reunion commissioned him to make an original work for the hotel. Reproduced in each of the 150 guest rooms, “Look out the Window” cleverly acknowledges the futile attempt of any artwork to compete with the natural beauty of Snowmass.
