OBSBORNE RESIDENCE

Completed in 1885 and catty-corner to Carnegie Hall, The Osborne at 205 W 57th Street is considered one of the great apartment buildings of New York City.

Reunion Goods & Services, in collaboration with architects Fogarty Finger Architecture, modernized a 2,700 square, 3 bedroom/3 bath apartment while highlighting and restoring the classic details. Designed for a family with two young children, Reunion helped the clients achieve their goal of making the apartment sophisticated and chic, while remaining inviting and comfortable.

Reunion used rich fabrics such as boiled wools and velvets to add pops of color and sourced much of the furniture from contemporary up-and-coming designers. The blue cage Nour Lamp by French artist Julie Pfligersdorffer was one of an edition of twelve and several wall coverings were made by Cavern. Artwork includes a gorgeously saturated photograph in the living room by Eric Cahan from his ‘Sky Series’ and a mural by Rebekah Maysles.
